It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to maintain a record if never given the possibility.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The gritty keeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India temporarily stopped the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy stated recently.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the test that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this performance followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it's been a disappointing period because it appeared my form was missing whatsoever," said Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive instincts kick in and you just lock into the contest."

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was removed her side needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."

Those words will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a significant event.

So great is her will, she later said she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

Yet even as she later admitted those physical issues have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this championship is likely to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is yet to win a global event as leader.
